DIY: Oats & Almond Meal Mask plus Lavendar Spray

Today I bring to you my Holly Grail items...that I make myself...on the super cheap.

1)Oats & Almond Meal Face Mask and Scrub (Food On Your Face by Crunchy Betty)

I love this recipe for my skin (face and body) and the best part it is adaptable towards your type of skin dry/combination/oily. It is a great gently exfoliator, I use it once daily to keep my skin soft and to help fade scars.

I have modified this receipe to suit my daily needs.

Take equal parts Oats and Almond Meal, and grind them up in a food processor/blender and then store them in a jar or container of your choice, just make sure it is air tight so the contents do not loose their crunch.

When you are ready to give your skin a good scrubbing this is where it is important to understand your skin type. If you have oily skin you want to use Witches Hazel, it is gentle on the skin but helps with oil control. If you have dry skin you want to use Milk, full fat but Almond Milk is a great alternative for my Veg Heads too. The milk will help to add moisture back into your skin as you are removing the layers of dead skin, so there you have it.

2) Lavender Spray (from Curly Girl by Lorraine Massey)

This spray is amazing! Lavendar is a natural deodorizer and not harmful so it is amazing for my hair, my furniture, my car and even adding a light fragrance to my clothes.

1) Gallon of Distilled Water (Typically 1.00 to 2.00 at your nearest grocery store.)

10 Drops of Essential Oil (Lavender or Tangerine)

You take some EO (Essential Oil) of Lavender* and a gallon of distilled water. What I do is pour some of the water in a cup (so there is room to shake the mixture). Add 10 drops of the EO for the gallon (rule of thumb: 10 drops per gallon, if you use to much it can be a little bit of an irritant). Shake it up then add the water that you removed back.

Pour the mixture in your Spray Bottle and Viola!

*If you have an allergy to Lavender or just don't like it use Tangerine EO it has the same effect.
